About the Videographer

Greg Sorenson was raised in Kansas City and graduated from Kansas State University with a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering. He has worked as an Engineer in the service industry since 1998 and has focused on product design and quality control. He became interested in filming weddings after getting married in 2006 because he realized the power in wedding videos for creating lasting memories.

Mission

The mission of Sorenson Videography is to provide professional quality audio and video that provide a lifetime of valuable memories. Wedding Video Considerations:

1. How many professional cameras will the videographyer use to film your wedding ceremony? Although one camera can capture your ceremony, two cameras allow the videographer to transition from one camera angle to next without missing important moments. I will use to two Cannon GL2 (SD) or XHA1 (HD) video cameras. Both cameras will be monitored throughout the wedding ceremony using an audio and video transmitter/ reciever. While one camera is manned during the ceremony, the other camera is remotely panned, tilted, and zoomed to capture the second angle.

2. Does the videographer provide a full day of coverage of moments before and after the ceremony? There are several videographers that provide 4 to 6 hours of coverage and charge for addition hours. Consider whether you want to be rushed during your wedding day before you try to fit your wedding day into a fixed number of hours. I will always provide a full "day" of coverage because its your wedding "day" not hours.

3. Does the videographer use two UHF wireless microphones? Without wireless mircophones, you will not be able to clearly hear your minister or most importantly your spouse's vows in the video. I will use dual channel Azden UHF lapel mircophones for your ceremony.

4. Do you know which videographer will film your ceremony and how the editing will be completed? Make sure you know which videographer will be filming your wedding day and if they will be editing your final video as well. It is important to have the video editor at your wedding so you can point out which moments you want included and excluded.
